Fresh Bread Delivery in Dubai: What Fresh Means and What to Order
How our bread delivery works, which loaves to eat first and how to order a week at once, with every loaf baked for the day it is delivered.

Our fresh bread delivery in Dubai starts in our Dubai Silicon Oasis kitchen and covers the whole city. Everything is baked to order for the day it is due, the earliest delivery is tomorrow morning, and delivery is free on orders of 150 AED or more, with a flat 20 AED fee below that.
The rest of this page is the detail behind those facts: how checkout works, which loaves to eat first, and how to order a week of bread in one bag.
How fresh bread delivery in Dubai works at Farah: windows, fee and payment
Checkout is a single page, and you do not need an account:
- Add your bread to the bag and open checkout.
- Enter your contact and delivery details. For an office, tick the business box and add the company name.
- Drop the map pin on the entrance our driver should use. The order cannot go through without one.
- Choose a delivery window.
- Add a note for the baker or a gift note, then pay.
Delivery windows. There is no same-day delivery. Checkout offers four windows: tomorrow morning, tomorrow afternoon, the morning of the day after tomorrow, and the next Saturday morning. The earliest is preselected, so change it if a later one suits you.
Fee and free delivery. Delivery is a flat 20 AED on orders under 150 AED and free from 150 AED, wherever you are in Dubai: Dubai Marina, JLT, Al Barsha, Downtown, Business Bay and DIFC get the same windows and the same fee as Silicon Oasis. There is no minimum order value, and both the bag and checkout show how far you are from free delivery. The 150 AED is counted before any discount code.
Payment. You pay on PayPal's secure page with a PayPal balance or a credit or debit card, usually without needing a PayPal account. Prices are shown in AED and settled in US dollars.
Receiving it. Please make sure someone can take the order in; we cannot replace fresh items left uncollected. If a delivery is late, damaged or missing items on our side, message us the same day, ideally with a photo, and we will replace the item on the next bake or refund it in full, whichever you prefer. The details are on our delivery and returns pages.
What fresh honestly means for delivered bread
A good loaf does not need to arrive warm. The crumb keeps setting as bread cools, which is why sourdough cut too early is gummy. A loaf that arrives cool has finished setting and is ready to slice.
The freshness that matters is that the bread was baked for you: every parcel is checked before it leaves the kitchen, and one of our drivers brings it to your door.
Staling starts once a loaf cools, even in a sealed bag, and how fast depends on the bread. That is what decides the eating order below.
The part of freshness you control is timing. Choose the window closest to the meal: tomorrow afternoon for a dinner baguette, a morning window for breakfast loaves and anything you plan to keep.
Which loaves to eat first, and which will wait
Three of the four groups below are in the photograph above: a country sourdough, a ciabatta and a multi-seed toast loaf.
Crusty breads: eat these first. A Sourdough Baguette at 15 AED is mostly crisp crust around a light, airy crumb, and as our sourdough baguette guide explains, it has one good day. The Sourdough Ciabatta at 14 AED has a thinner crust and an open, moisture-holding crumb, so it holds a little longer and still makes good toast the next morning. To bring either back, dampen the crust with water and give it five to eight minutes in an oven at about 200°C. On a baguette, that trick works once.
Big sourdough loaves: the ones that wait. The Country Sourdough Loaf at 25 AED and the Multi-Seed Sourdough Loaf at 28 AED carry far more crumb inside their crust. A loaf like this is best on day one but still slices well for three or four days, and toasts well once it firms. Unsure which sourdough to pick? Our guide to our seven sourdough loaves compares them.
Soft toast loaves: seal them, then freeze. The Multi-Seed Whole Wheat Toast Bread at 32 AED, the Japanese Milk Bread Loaf at 18 AED and the White Toast Bread at 10 AED have no crackling crust to protect on the journey. The Brioche Toast Bread at 35 AED, made with butter and fresh eggs, belongs with them. Our guide to choosing a loaf that toasts well compares the white, multi-seed and brioche loaves.
Focaccia: in between. Our Focaccia · Rosemary & Olive Oil at 12 AED, made with extra virgin olive oil, is best on the day but holds better than a lean loaf, so eat it within a day or so, warmed through.
What to do when the bread arrives
Our guide to storing bread in Dubai goes further. The short version for delivery day:
- Unpack straight away. Inside any bag or box, moisture from the crumb is trapped against the crust and softens it.
- Sort by type. Crusty loaves go into paper or a clean cloth. A big sourdough stands cut side down on a board on day one, then moves into a cloth bag. Soft toast loaves and brioche go into a sealed bag.
- Freeze on delivery day, not later. Slice or halve and wrap whatever you will not reach at its best: baguette you will not finish that evening (within a few hours of delivery), ciabatta beyond the next morning, white toast beyond a day or two, the milk bread, multi-seed toast and brioche beyond two or three days, and a big sourdough beyond about four. Toast the slices straight from frozen.
- Keep bread out of the fridge. Staling runs faster at refrigerator temperatures than on the counter.
What to order for a week
One delivery can carry a household through the week if the loaves are eaten in the right order. It also keeps the fee down: two orders under 150 AED pay 20 AED each, while one order of 150 AED or more pays nothing. Here is a week for a family that eats bread most days.
Day one: the baguette and focaccia. The baguette with dinner, the rosemary focaccia warmed and torn at the table. Halve the baguette when it arrives and freeze the half you will not eat that evening.
Days one and two: the ciabatta. Lunch on day one, toast on day two: split it and press the cut faces in a hot, dry pan.
Days one to four: the country loaf. On delivery day, slice and freeze the part you will not reach by day four. Keep the rest cut side down and toast it as it firms. See how the country loaf changes through a Dubai week.
All week: the toast loaves. Keep two or three days' worth of the multi-seed whole wheat and the milk bread in sealed bags, and freeze the rest in slices when they arrive. For school sandwiches, reach for the Japanese milk bread; it is the softer of the two.
Day two or three: brioche. Brioche slices a day or two old take custard better than fresh ones, so this is the French toast breakfast. Keep what you need tightly wrapped and freeze the rest in slices on delivery day.
Days five to seven: the freezer. Country loaf and toast bread slices go into the toaster straight from frozen.
At today's prices those seven loaves come to 151 AED, just over the 150 AED mark for free delivery, so leaving any one of them out brings back the 20 AED fee. If a price has moved, check the bag before you pay. A smaller week for one or two people, with the ciabatta, country loaf and multi-seed toast bread, comes to 71 AED plus the 20 AED delivery fee.
For a weekly habit, place a new order each week and pick the Saturday morning window.
Our kitchen handles wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame and seeds, and we cannot guarantee any item is free from traces of them. If anyone in your household has a food allergy or intolerance, ask us before you order, and please do not rely on a product description alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer same-day bread delivery in Dubai?
No. Every order is baked for its delivery day, so the soonest we can bring bread is tomorrow morning. Checkout offers two windows tomorrow, one on the morning of the day after tomorrow and one on the next Saturday morning.
How much does bread delivery from Farah Bakery cost?
Orders of 150 AED or more are delivered free. Below that there is a flat 20 AED charge, the same anywhere in Dubai, and the threshold applies to your bag before any discount is taken off.
Is there a minimum order for bread delivery?
No. A single loaf is a perfectly good order. Below 150 AED the 20 AED fee applies, and your bag shows how much more you would need to add to make delivery free.
What if no one is home when the bread arrives?
Plan for someone to take the order in. Bread is fresh food, and items left uncollected cannot be replaced. For an office, put the floor or reception in the address or the notes at checkout.
Which breads should I order if I want them to last the week?
Choose a full sourdough loaf such as the country loaf and a soft toast loaf such as the Japanese milk bread or the multi-seed whole wheat. On delivery day, slice and freeze whatever you will not eat while it is at its best: about four days for the sourdough, two or three for the toast loaf. Eat the baguette and ciabatta first, because they lose the most by waiting, and the focaccia within a day or so.
Order this week's bread
Start with the three loaves in the photograph: a Country Sourdough Loaf at 25 AED, a Sourdough Ciabatta at 14 AED and a Multi-Seed Whole Wheat Toast Bread at 32 AED. Then browse the shop for the rest of your week, choose the delivery window closest to your first meal, and we will bake your order fresh for the day it is due.
