Bread Delivery to Abu Dhabi: What to Order Two Days Ahead
We bake in Dubai Silicon Oasis, not in Abu Dhabi, so an Abu Dhabi order is a planned one that arrives in the afternoon. These are the bakes that suit it, the ones to eat the evening they arrive, and how to keep each one.

Farah Bakery delivers bread to Abu Dhabi from its kitchen in Dubai Silicon Oasis, and the earliest delivery is 2 days after ordering, between 2 pm and 8 pm. There is no Farah shop in Abu Dhabi, so you order online, and checkout offers four consecutive dates, all in that afternoon window. Delivery costs the same as in Dubai: 20 AED below 150 AED and free from 150 AED, with no minimum order. Because the order is planned days ahead and arrives in the afternoon, build it around bakes that keep, such as a 25 AED Country Sourdough Loaf, a 35 AED Banana & Pecan Cake Loaf and 16 AED Oats & Cranberry Cookies.
Everything is baked to order for the delivery day in our kitchen in Dubai Silicon Oasis. For delivery inside Dubai, where the earliest window is tomorrow morning, see fresh bread delivery in Dubai.
How does bread delivery to Abu Dhabi work?
You order online, choose Abu Dhabi as the emirate at checkout, and pick one of four afternoon dates, the earliest of them two days away.
- Choose Abu Dhabi as the emirate. Checkout replaces the Dubai windows with four consecutive dates, each between 2 pm and 8 pm. Abu Dhabi orders go out with our courier partner, who needs a full day's notice, so there is no next-day delivery.
- Check the date. The earliest is preselected, so check which is ticked before you pay. Order on a Monday and checkout offers Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
- Add the details. Put the building and floor in the "Apartment, floor" line, drop the map pin on the entrance to use, and name the person receiving the order in the notes for the baker.
- Pay on PayPal's page, where a credit or debit card works, usually without a PayPal account.
We cannot promise delivery on the public holiday days themselves. Collection from our kitchen is by arrangement only, over WhatsApp first; our delivery page has the details, including what to do if a delivery goes wrong.
What time does bread delivery arrive in Abu Dhabi?
Between 2 pm and 8 pm on the date you choose, and the order can arrive at any point inside that window.
Treat it as food for that evening and the days after, not that morning's breakfast; for a morning table, order for the afternoon before. Choose a date when someone is home all afternoon: fresh food needs a person, not a doorstep, and we cannot replace fresh items left uncollected or unrefrigerated.
Which breads keep best after delivery to Abu Dhabi?
The country, multi-seed and date sourdoughs and two sealed toast loaves: each holds for about three days at room temperature, and most freeze in slices that toast straight from frozen.
- Country Sourdough Loaf, 25 AED. Slow-fermented for over 24 hours, it slices well for three to four days. Stand it cut side down on a wooden board, uncovered, for the first day, then move it to a cloth bag or bread tin.
- Multi-Seed Sourdough Loaf, 28 AED. Three good days on the counter and a fourth that toasts well. Keep it cut side down on a board for the first two days, then in a paper bag inside a cloth.
- Date, Walnut & Honey Sourdough, 30 AED. In a paper or linen bag, cut side down on a board, the crumb stays soft for three to four days.
- Japanese Milk Bread Loaf, 18 AED. Still genuinely soft on day three. Keep it whole in a sealed bag or airtight tin, away from direct sun and out of the path of an air conditioning vent.
- Multi-Seed Whole Wheat Toast Bread, 32 AED. Sealed in a bag at room temperature, it is at its best for about three days.
None of these goes in the fridge, where bread stales faster than on the counter. Our guide on how to store bread explains why; to choose, see how the country loaf is made and our seven sourdough loaves compared.
Which cakes, cookies and bars suit an Abu Dhabi order?
Our four cake loaves at 35 AED each, the Oats & Cranberry Cookie at 16 AED and the Granola Bar at 12 AED, because all of them keep at room temperature and none needs the fridge.
- Banana & Pecan Cake Loaf, 35 AED. The moist one of our four cake loaves. Wrap it well and keep it in an air-conditioned room for the first two days; beyond that, slice it, wrap the slices and freeze them.
- Marble Cake Loaf, 35 AED. Three to four days whole in an airtight tin at room temperature, with cling film pressed against the cut face.
- Classic Lemon Butter Cake Loaf, 35 AED. Better on day two, as the syrup redistributes through the crumb, and it keeps three to four days in an airtight box at room temperature.
- Double Chocolate & Coconut Cake Loaf, 35 AED. Coconut keeps the crumb soft into a second day. Keep it wrapped at air-conditioned room temperature for two days, then slice and freeze it rather than refrigerate it.
- Oats & Cranberry Cookie, 16 AED. No chocolate to soften in a warm bag, and its chew arguably peaks the day after baking. Keep it airtight at room temperature, or wrap it individually and freeze it.
- Granola Bar, 12 AED. Keep it wrapped until you eat it, because honey pulls water from the air, and skip the fridge, which sets a honey binder hard.
The oat cookie declines more slowly than most cookies, because the oats hold moisture well; the Lotus & White Chocolate Chip Cookie at 16 AED is best eaten within two to three days. Read why the bananas in our banana loaf have to be black and why the oats in our oat cookie need time before the oven.
Which bakes should you eat the evening they arrive?
Croissants, sandwiches, the baguette and focaccia are for the day they arrive, and with an Abu Dhabi delivery that day is already the afternoon.
- Croissants. A plain Croissant at 14 AED is for the day it arrives. For breakfast, wrap and freeze it that day, then revive it from frozen at 160 to 170°C for five to six minutes. The Chocolate Croissant at 16 AED cannot wait: the fridge brings on sugar bloom and freezing dulls its tempered shell.
- Sandwiches. Every sandwich we make has meat or cheese in it, so it goes into the fridge as soon as it arrives unless you are eating it then. Even the Ciabatta Turkey & Cheese Sandwich at 12 AED, which holds until lunch if kept cold after a Dubai morning delivery, is eaten the day it arrives, so here it is supper, not tomorrow's lunch.
- Dinner breads. The Sourdough Baguette at 15 AED is eaten the day it arrives; whatever you will not finish that evening, freeze within about four hours of delivery. Focaccia is best on the day, though the Focaccia · Mushroom at 12 AED is genuinely good the next day.
- The parfait. The Granola Parfait with Greek Yogurt at 25 AED is a breakfast to eat soon and must not be frozen, so it suits a Dubai morning delivery better than an Abu Dhabi afternoon one.
What should you do when an Abu Dhabi order arrives?
Fridge items first, then wrap the rest, then freeze that evening whatever you will not reach in time.
- Fridge first: sandwiches and parfaits, unless you are eating them now.
- Wrap and seal: sourdough cut side down on a board, toast loaves in a sealed bag, cake loaves wrapped or in an airtight tin, cookies airtight.
- Freeze that evening: the country loaf you will not reach by day four, toast loaves beyond three days, the Banana & Pecan Cake Loaf beyond two, and any plain croissant you want for breakfast. Toast bread slices straight from frozen.
How much does an Abu Dhabi bread order cost?
The sum of the item prices, plus 20 AED delivery on a bag below 150 AED; from 150 AED delivery is free, and checkout shows the fee before you pay. There is no minimum order.
Three worked orders at today's prices:
- A loaf and a cake: a Country Sourdough Loaf (25 AED) and a Banana & Pecan Cake Loaf (35 AED) come to 60 AED, or 80 AED with delivery.
- A household's bread for the week: two Country Sourdough Loaves (50 AED), a Japanese Milk Bread Loaf (18 AED), a Multi-Seed Whole Wheat Toast Bread (32 AED) and a Banana & Pecan Cake Loaf (35 AED) come to 135 AED, or 155 AED with delivery. Add one Oats & Cranberry Cookie at 16 AED and the bag reaches 151 AED with free delivery, 4 AED less than paying the fee.
- A weekend with guests: a Marble Cake Loaf and a Banana & Pecan Cake Loaf (70 AED), four Oats & Cranberry Cookies (64 AED) and two Granola Bars (24 AED) come to 158 AED, so delivery is free.
What should you know about allergies before ordering?
Our kitchen handles wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame and seeds, and we cannot guarantee that any item is free from traces of these.
The Banana & Pecan Cake Loaf, the Date, Walnut & Honey Sourdough and the Granola Bar name nuts in their descriptions, and both multi-seed loaves carry sesame. Our product descriptions are not full ingredient lists, so that does not make the other bakes safe for an allergy. If anyone has an allergy or intolerance, tell us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve them safely.
