Office Treats in Dubai: Bakes for a Farewell, First Day or New Baby

A last day, a first day, a new baby or a promotion: what to bring in for ten to thirty colleagues that is eaten from the hand, how much to order, when it should arrive and how to keep it until the moment comes.

A sliced Marble Cake Loaf, a chocolate crinkle cookie and an oats and cranberry cookie in a row on a plain cream background

For office treats in Dubai, bring one 80 g cookie per colleague at 14 to 18 AED, or a 35 AED Marble Cake Loaf cut into fingers for every eight to ten people: both are eaten from the hand, and neither needs the office fridge. Order online by the day before and choose the 7–10 am delivery window on the day. Delivery is 20 AED below 150 AED and free from 150 AED, with no minimum order. Ten cookies cost 140 to 180 AED depending on the mix, and the 152 AED mix below travels free.

We bake everything to order in our kitchen in Dubai Silicon Oasis. This guide is for one person bringing something in for colleagues: a last day, a first day, a new baby, a promotion or the end of probation. If the company is paying for a team breakfast, see our office breakfast catering guide; for a gathering with a table to lay, see small event catering in Dubai.

What treats can you bring to the office without plates or cutlery?

Cookies and a cake loaf cut into fingers, because both are eaten from the hand and wait at room temperature. Croissants work too, but only in the morning.

  • Cookies, 14 to 18 AED. All six of our cookies are single 80 g pieces. The Chocolate Crinkle Cookie at 14 AED is the softest. The Oats & Cranberry Cookie at 16 AED has no chocolate to soften, so it is the one we would put in a bag that is carried around. The Lotus & White Chocolate Chip Cookie at 16 AED eats less sweet than its name suggests. Our cookie guide sorts all six by texture.
  • A cake loaf, 35 AED. The Marble Cake Loaf is the neutral one, moderately sweet with no strong single note, for a room whose tastes you do not know. Its slices hold their shape instead of crumbling, so cut into fingers it is the low-fuss, no-cutlery format. Our marble cake guide explains the swirl.
  • Croissants, for a morning only. A Croissant at 14 AED or a Chocolate Croissant at 16 AED, kept in paper and eaten the day it arrives. The chocolate one holds up best of our croissants over a few hours; the plain one sheds flakes, so put out napkins. Our croissant catering guide covers a bigger tray.
  • A granola bar, 12 AED. A Granola Bar, kept wrapped and out of the heat, waits until later in the day. It contains nuts.

Leave out the sandwiches and the Granola Parfait with Greek Yogurt, which go into the fridge on arrival. We do not sell drinks, so arrange those separately.

How many treats should you order per colleague?

One cookie or one croissant each, or one cake loaf for every eight to ten people. One loaf comfortably covers an afternoon for a small office of eight to ten: 3.50 to about 4.40 AED a head.

Count the people who will be in that day, not the company list. A sliced loaf stretches to an extra person while a missing cookie is obvious, so when the number is uncertain, add a loaf.

Worked orders at today's prices:

  • A small team of eight: one Marble Cake Loaf at 35 AED, plus 20 AED delivery, comes to 55 AED.
  • Ten colleagues, an afternoon farewell: four Chocolate Crinkle Cookies (56 AED), three Lotus & White Chocolate Chip Cookies (48 AED) and three Oats & Cranberry Cookies (48 AED) come to 152 AED, so delivery is free.
  • Twelve colleagues, a first-morning hello: six Croissants (84 AED) and six Chocolate Croissants (96 AED) come to 180 AED, with free delivery.
  • About twenty colleagues: the ten-cookie mix (152 AED) and one Marble Cake Loaf (35 AED) come to 187 AED.
  • Twenty-five to thirty colleagues: the ten-cookie mix (152 AED) and two Marble Cake Loaves (70 AED) come to 222 AED.

When you are paying yourself, check the total first: if the bag is just under 150 AED, one more cookie at 14 to 18 AED that takes it to 150 AED costs less than the 20 AED fee and feeds one more colleague. For an order the company pays for, our office catering cost guide adds up larger bills.

When should office treats arrive?

In the 7–10 am window on the day, ordered online by the day before; the bag can arrive at any point inside the window. Checkout offers four windows, each three hours long: tomorrow 7–10 am, tomorrow 3–6 pm, the day after tomorrow 7–10 am, and next Saturday 9 am–12 pm.

  • A morning treat: the window runs until 10 am, so plan to put it out mid-morning rather than at 9.
  • An afternoon farewell: still the morning window, with cookies or a cake loaf. The 3–6 pm window exists only for tomorrow, and a 4 pm farewell falls inside it, so the treats could land after the goodbye.

There is no same-day delivery, and every order is baked for the day it is due. The earliest window is preselected, so check which is ticked before you pay; orders placed after our evening cut-off are scheduled for the next baking day, and checkout shows the date. For an office in Abu Dhabi, the earliest delivery is two days after ordering, between 2 pm and 8 pm; see our Abu Dhabi delivery guide.

How do you order treats for delivery to an office?

Tick "Delivering to a company / business?" at checkout and enter the company name as reception knows it. Put the floor and office number in the "Apartment, floor" line, drop the map pin on the entrance a driver should use, and name the person receiving it in the notes for the baker. For your own first day, ask your manager beforehand how reception knows the company and which floor you are on.

We cannot replace fresh items left uncollected or unrefrigerated, so make sure someone is there; our delivery page covers receiving an order. If the treats are a surprise for the person leaving, name a colleague who knows about it as the receiver.

Payment is through PayPal, where any credit or debit card works, usually without a PayPal account; prices are shown in AED and settled in US dollars. Tick the company box for the office address even when you pay with your own card.

How do you keep the treats until an afternoon farewell?

Keep cookies airtight at room temperature, keep the cake loaf whole until you cut it, and keep all of it out of the fridge.

  • Cookies: never the fridge, where the crumb hardens or goes sandy. Keep the Chocolate Crinkle airtight once it is completely cool, because trapped steam turns its white crust sticky and translucent; our crinkle cookie guide covers storing it. The Oats & Cranberry declines more slowly than most, because the oats hold moisture well; our oat cookie guide explains why it travels well.
  • Marble Cake Loaf: whole until just before people take it; press cling film against any cut face that has to wait, and keep it in an airtight tin at room temperature, not the fridge, which stales the crumb.
  • Granola Bar: wrapped until eaten, because honey pulls water from the air, and out of the fridge, which sets the binder hard.

Can you get a name or a message on the treats?

Not from us: we do not make custom, decorated, birthday or occasion cakes, and our four cake loaves are loaves for slicing. We do not supply cards, so write one yourself and set it beside the box. If you label the box, give each item its name and our kitchen statement below; do not copy ingredient lists from our product pages, because they do not list every ingredient.

Which office treats contain nuts or eggs?

The almond and pistachio croissants, the peanut butter and pistachio cookies, the banana and pecan loaf, the granola bars and the Date, Walnut & Honey Sourdough name nuts or peanuts, and several of the treats above contain egg. Give the nut items their own plate. That does not make the other plates nut-free: our kitchen handles wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame and seeds, and we cannot guarantee that any item is free from traces of these. If anyone has an allergy or intolerance, tell us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve them safely.

On eggs, our product pages mark the Lotus & White Chocolate Chip, Pistachio Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter cookies as containing egg. The plain Croissant is egg-washed, the almond croissant's frangipane is bound with egg and the Marble Cake Loaf's creamed base takes eggs. A page that does not mention egg is not saying there is none: our descriptions are not full ingredient lists, and nothing in our shop is labelled vegetarian or vegan, so do not promise any treat as egg-free.

What if the treat is for a whole floor or a client?

Use the Bring Farah to your event form instead of the shop, as you should for anything that has to be set out before a delivery window allows. Give the date, the number of guests, your company, the venue and floor, when people arrive and any allergies. We reply within one working day and will tell you what is possible; there is no package list or per-person price.
