Christmas Dinner at Home in Dubai: Bread to Order Around the Turkey
The turkey is the part everyone plans and the bread is the part that gets forgotten. This is which of our loaves to order for Christmas dinner at home, and on which day, given the four delivery windows checkout offers, plus a Thanksgiving plan.

For Christmas dinner at home in Dubai, order your bread on Wednesday 23 December and choose tomorrow's 3–6 pm window, so it arrives on Christmas Eve, Thursday 24 December. A 15 AED Sourdough Baguette, a 25 AED Country Sourdough Loaf and a 12 AED Focaccia · Rosemary & Olive Oil fill the basket, a 30 AED Date, Walnut & Honey Sourdough covers the cheese board and a 35 AED Brioche Toast Bread covers Christmas morning. With a 35 AED Marble Cake Loaf the order comes to 152 AED, and delivery in Dubai is free from 150 AED, 20 AED below that.
We bake the bread, not the turkey, to order in our kitchen in Dubai Silicon Oasis. We bake no panettone, stollen, mince pies, Christmas cake or yule log, and we do not sell drinks, so arrange those separately.
Which delivery windows fit Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and 26 December?
Plan around Christmas Eve, ordering on Tuesday 22 December for its 7–10 am window or on Wednesday 23 December for 7–10 am or 3–6 pm; Christmas Day and Saturday 26 December take checkout's ordinary windows.
Checkout offers four windows, each three hours long: tomorrow 7–10 am, tomorrow 3–6 pm, the day after tomorrow 7–10 am, and next Saturday 9 am–12 pm. There is no same-day delivery, and a weekday three or more days away cannot be booked yet, so the 24th can be booked from the 22nd.
- Christmas Day, Friday 25 December. Christmas is not among the UAE's official public holidays, while New Year's Day is, according to Gulf News (checked on 9 October 2026). Checkout offers its ordinary windows.
- Saturday 26 December. The next-Saturday 9 am–12 pm window, ordered on any day from Saturday 19 December; ordered on the 24th or 25th, the earlier windows reach it too.
- New Year's Day, Friday 1 January 2027. We cannot promise delivery on the public holiday days themselves.
The earliest window is preselected, so check which date and window are ticked before you pay. Orders placed after our evening cut-off are scheduled for the next baking day, and checkout shows the date. Make sure someone is home: we cannot replace fresh items left uncollected or unrefrigerated, as our delivery page explains.
Which breads should go in the Christmas dinner bread basket?
A Sourdough Baguette and a rosemary focaccia, best the evening they arrive and given the freezer or the oven for dinner on the 25th, and a Country Sourdough Loaf that slices well for days.
- Sourdough Baguette, 15 AED. Mostly crust, thin enough to shatter, so eat it the day it arrives. For dinner on the 25th, halve it, wrap it tightly and freeze it within about four hours of delivery, then bake it from frozen at 200°C for ten to twelve minutes; see our sourdough baguette guide.
- Country Sourdough Loaf, 25 AED. A hard, blistered crust over an open crumb that slices well for three to four days; stand it cut side down on a wooden board, uncovered, for the first day. See how the country loaf is made.
- Focaccia · Rosemary & Olive Oil, 12 AED. Flooded with olive oil, for soup or roast chicken. Best on the day, though the oil helps it hold better than a lean loaf; to revive it, put a few drops of water on top and give it four to six minutes at 200°C; beyond a day, as for dinner on the 25th, wrap it tightly and freeze it flat, then reheat it straight from frozen at 180°C for eight to ten minutes.
None of them goes in the fridge, as our guide to storing bread in Dubai explains; our page on bread for an evening in covers warming each loaf before dinner.
Which loaf goes with the cheese board after dinner?
The Date, Walnut & Honey Sourdough at 30 AED for aged cheese, or the Chocolate Sourdough Loaf at 30 AED, a bread rather than a dessert.
- Date, Walnut & Honey Sourdough. Not a sweet bread: it tastes of caramel and malt, closer to a dark rye than to a cake, which is why it suits a savoury table and aged cheese rather than jam. In a paper or linen bag, cut side down, it stays soft for three to four days. See our date bread guide.
- Chocolate Sourdough Loaf. Cocoa and chopped dark chocolate with only a little sugar; toast it for aged hard cheese. Best within two days, then slice and freeze it. See our chocolate sourdough guide.
Which bread should you use for stuffing?
The Country Sourdough Loaf at 25 AED for a firm stuffing, or the Brioche Toast Bread at 35 AED for a soft, rich one, delivered a day or two before you cook so there is time to dry it.
Stale is not the same as dry: in a test, Cook's Country at America's Test Kitchen (checked on 9 October 2026) found that bread left to go stale only felt dry and turned to paste in the stuffing, while oven-dried cubes stayed mostly intact. So cube the loaf and dry it in the oven ahead of time, leaving the oven free for the bird.
For Christmas Day, the Christmas Eve delivery is already a day ahead. For dinner on Christmas Eve, order on Monday 21 December for a window on the 22nd.
What should you have in for Christmas morning?
The Brioche Toast Bread from the Christmas Eve delivery for French toast, and plain Croissants.
- Brioche Toast Bread, 35 AED. Tightly wrapped at cool room temperature, it keeps for two to three days. It is listed for French toast and bread-and-butter pudding; our brioche guide explains why day-two brioche drinks the custard better than fresh, and our guide to brunch at home allows one loaf for every four guests.
- Croissant, 14 AED. Either a separate order on the 23rd or 24th for a 7–10 am window on Christmas Day, which pays its own 20 AED fee below 150 AED, or plain Croissants added to the Christmas Eve order, wrapped and frozen that day and revived from frozen at 160 to 170°C for five to six minutes. Not the Chocolate Croissant: freezing dulls its tempered shell.
Which bread suits leftover-turkey sandwiches on 26 December?
White Toast Bread at 10 AED, a Japanese Milk Bread Loaf at 18 AED or a Sourdough Ciabatta at 14 AED, in the next-Saturday 9 am–12 pm window.
- White Toast Bread. A fine crumb that holds butter and keeps melted cheese in place in a toasted sandwich.
- Japanese Milk Bread Loaf. It holds sandwich fillings without fighting them and is still soft on day three.
- Sourdough Ciabatta. Its holes hold oil and dressing instead of letting them soak through.
Standard food-safety guidance is no more than two hours out of the fridge in total, or one hour above 32°C, so keep the turkey cold until you build the sandwiches.
What should you order for guests over the Christmas break?
A 35 AED cake loaf: the Marble Cake Loaf and the Classic Lemon Butter Cake Loaf each keep three to four days in an airtight tin or box at room temperature, not the fridge.
The Marble Cake Loaf is the neutral loaf for a mixed table. The Classic Lemon Butter Cake Loaf suits a table after a heavy meal and is better on day two; see our lemon cake guide. For a larger gathering, see small event catering in Dubai or use the Bring Farah to your event form; we reply within one working day.
What does a Christmas Eve bread order cost?
Our worked order comes to 152 AED with free delivery, at shop prices on 9 October 2026:

- 1 Sourdough Baguette: 15 AED
- 1 Focaccia · Rosemary & Olive Oil: 12 AED
- 1 Brioche Toast Bread: 35 AED
- 1 Date, Walnut & Honey Sourdough: 30 AED
- 1 Marble Cake Loaf: 35 AED

What should you order for Thanksgiving in Dubai?
The same bread, timed to Thursday 26 November 2026, a working day in the UAE: the stuffing loaf on Tuesday 24 November and the basket on the Thursday.
- Stuffing loaf, Tuesday 24 November. Order on Sunday 22 or Monday 23 November.
- Bread basket, Thursday 26 November. The 7–10 am window, ordered on the Tuesday or Wednesday, or the 3–6 pm window, ordered on the Wednesday.

We sell no dinner rolls and no pies; the baguette, focaccia and country loaf cover the table.
Can you order Christmas bread for Abu Dhabi?
Yes. In Abu Dhabi the earliest delivery is two days after ordering, between 2 and 8 pm: order by Tuesday 22 December for delivery on Christmas Eve, or by Monday 21 December for bread that arrives the day before a Christmas Eve dinner.
Checkout shows the dates and the fee before you pay. Choose bakes that keep, such as the country, date and brioche loaves and a cake loaf; our guide to bread delivery in Abu Dhabi covers the rest.
What if a guest has a food allergy?
Tell us before you order, and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve that guest safely.
Our kitchen handles wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame and seeds, and we cannot guarantee that any item is free from traces of these. The Date, Walnut & Honey Sourdough is made with walnuts, the Brioche Toast Bread with butter, eggs and milk, the Japanese Milk Bread Loaf with dairy and egg, and our croissants and the Marble and Lemon cake loaves with butter. Our product descriptions are not full ingredient lists, so that does not make the other bakes safe for an allergy.
